The Pacific Exhibition is part of a continuum resulting from an ongoing study of the idiosyncratic energy and flow of urban, remote, and transformative spaces.
“Pacific”… peace, harmony, calm, to foster clarity; a heightened awareness and appreciation of life, the present moment and of our ability to live simply.
There is intense energy in the present moment, ephemeral situations of light and interactions of positional vibrancy; elements in life that we feel drawn towards. I intend to conjure these illusions of atmospheric energy through the act of painting; sensible proportions, depths, steps, planes, voids, and obtuse geometries reach out to each other. Yet I submit tangible artifacts of emotion such as passion and sensuality in order to build engaging relationships.
